Basketball

Cole started basketball last week at the Youth Center on base. It is a smart start program for 3 and 4 year olds that he in and I think it is a great introduction to sports for him. I think sports teach kids so many valuable things (teamwork, sharing, good sportsmanship, etc.) so I was glad to get him signed up.

He will go once a week for an hour for about six weeks.

Throwing up his gang signs! :-)

He got his shirt and he all ready to play!

Cheese!
Catching the ball! There is one boy from his school that is playing as well as several from our neighborhood. It was good for me too because I was able to meet some other moms and will be attending a Bible Study with one of them starting this Wednesday morning. I love how God works!

We went up to Jonathan's parents this weekend (we have been every weekend since moving here!) and it is always a great time! Cole spent the night with them Thursday and Friday so we went Saturday so we could bring him home. We stayed there Saturday night and went to church with them on Sunday. I snapped a pic of the Garner men before church. I love this!

And me and my boy!

As usual, we are very grateful to be so close to home and get to spend so much time with our family. Cole loves spending time with his Mamaw and Papaw!

Christmas 2011

We had a great Christmas spending times with the ones we love!

We spent a few days before Christmas with Jonathan's parents. Jonathan got a new four wheeler so he and Cole had fun riding. Cole all ready to ride!

Christmas Eve all of my family came to my house for lunch and presents. This was the first time I have had hosted Christmas at my house and I loved it!

Steph and I with our dad.

Aunt Courtney and Maclaire.

Steph and silly Jayden and Bayler.

My mom and stepdad, Philip.

Jonathan got a Lowe's giftcard so he was excited! :-)

Steph, Jay and the kids and my dad went back home Christmas Eve afternoon. Jonathan and I went to the Christmas Eve service at the church we have been attending while my mom (and Courtney, BB and Philip) stayed home with Cole. They all spent the night so they could be apart of the Christmas morning fun.

Cole had a blast checking out what all santa brought him. He got his first real baseball glove and ball. Hopefully we can start him in the spring.

He also got lots of costumes. Nothing like a pirate chef! :-)

And me with Batman!

And his favorite gift...drums!

Christmas afternoon we headed to Jonathan's parents house for dinner. I didn't get any pictures, but we had a great time!

Josh and Francis

The day after Christmas we headed to my sister's to celebrate her birthday a day early.

About to head to the Japanese steakhouse for Steph's birthday.

Claire wanted her picture made with Roxy!

Waiting to be seated for dinner. We had to wait over an hour, but it was worth it.

Love this man!

At the table...Cole loved the big fire!

Yummy noodles!

What a blessed Christmas we had getting to spend time with ALL of our family and not having to travel 12 hours to do so!

Happy New Year!

Christmas Fun

We have had a fun and busy Christmas season! I have been in full swing training mode for real estate and have realized I have SO much to learn, but am loving being back around adults and learning about real estate. I'm praying 2012 is a great year for the housing market!

Lots of pictures to come...

A gingerbread house made by Cole and his daddy.

A quick picture before we headed out to Jonathan's squadron Christmas party. It was a fun time and we had lots of laughs!

We are thankful to Jonathan's parents for coming and staying with Cole while we went to the party. Cole loved snuggling with his Mawmaw.

I snapped a quick picture of Cole in his classroom. This was the day of their "Happy Birthday Jesus" Christmas party. Cole is really enjoying school here and his teacher Mrs. Kay. It is a great program and I am pleased as well.

We headed to Mobile last weekend to see Aunt Misty graduate from nursing school. Luckily Cole slept through graduation!

But he woke up towards the end and took a few pictures. He was looking so cute!

Cole and Aunt Misty. We are so proud of her!

I love this family!
Friday night we went to the Bellingrath House and Gardens and saw all the lights. It was beautiful!

We all had fun! :-)

December has been a great month! We have seen our family every weekend which is awesome! We are looking forward to celebrating CHRIST this weekend and hope you are too!

Have a blessed Christmas!

Moving, Thanksgiving and Breakfast with Santa

Whew! What a crazy few weeks we have had! We survived the 13 hour car ride and made it to Mississippi safe and sound. We got all of our stuff delivered and are pretty much all unpacked and settled. What a great feeling to be in our new home that we have anticipated for months! I will try and get pics up soon of the inside of the house.

We were able to go home for Thanksgiving for the first time since we have been married (almost 9 years!) so that was a nice treat. It feels strange being this close, but in a good way.
Here are some pictures from our Thanksgiving.
Cole and Aunt Misty. They got lots of good playtime in!

Francis, Grandma Grammar, Jonathan and Super Cole
We stayed the night with my dad on Friday. Love these men! :-)

I tried to get a good picture of the three of us, but it wasn't happening.

This morning we went to the base for Breakfast with Santa. This is our 3rd year to do this and we always enjoy it. Cole has been really into to giving me "mad" faces lately so that is what I got.
Sitting with Santa.
Not the best picture, but at least we are all in it. Plus, I was able to tell Santa what I wanted for Christmas. I have been extra good this year! :-)
Cole's facepaint.
After we left the breakfast we headed to Tuscaloosa for the day. We met Jonathan's parents at Target and they took Cole to the park to play and then back to their house. Jonathan and I got to shop and have lunch together. It was so nice to have some time just the two of us while Cole was having fun with his grandparents. I think we will like this being closer thing! :-)
