Summer is winding down...

But we are still having fun!  School starts back in less than 2 weeks!  It seems like the summer gets shorter and shorter each year, but I must say while I have enjoyed our flexible schedule I am SO ready for a routine again.

Crosby sporting Cole's bug glasses!

Cole and Chloe on a nature walk.

These two crack me up.  They were drawing pictures of the nature.

Crosby had tubes put in his ears a couple of weeks ago.

After surgery he was groggy.

Then he passed out.

But by the afternoon he was all smiles.  Yay!

Cole on his birthday...6 years old!

I took Cole and Chloe to Chuck E Cheese on his birthday. This was the 3rd year we have done this and Chloe has joined us every year!

Crosby liked the mouse!

Cole standing by the corn field at the end of our street.

Picnic at the park.

Crosby LOVES Roxy. So much that he brought me her leash and insisted on walking her.  I think Roxy wasn't sure what to think.

Playing in the rain.

I brought the bounce house inside on a rainy day.

Fun at Mawmaw and Pawpaw's.   We had a fire and cooked hotdogs and Smores.

Crosby wanted in on the action too.

 At the zoo!

Playing at the park with Aunt Misty and Uncle Chris.

Fun at iJump!

Crosby had to wear socks at iJump and I didn't have any of his with me at my in-laws.  So he wore Coles. :-) They looked like booties.

Botanical Gardens.

Fun at Mawmaw and Pawpaws!

We have had a great summer and are looking forward to daddy being home SOON!

A Dino mite party!

Cole had his 6th (yes, you heard that right, 6th!) birthday party last night.  Since Jonathan is gone and I am over big birthday parties, we did a small party here at the house complete with a sleepover!  Cole has been into sleepovers here lately so this seemed like a good idea.   We had three kids actually spend the night and three came for the party and then left afterward.

It was dinosaur theme.  Cole has loved dinosaurs for a few years now so this was perfect.

Love these crazy boys!

So blessed!

Another Cole is in to us Under Armour.  Not sure if you have priced UA lately, but it ain't cheap!  :-)  Anyway, he was excited to get an UA spiderman shirt and hat from his best friend Chloe.  This shirt will be on repeat from now on!

Crosby playing with Cole's bug glasses.

Cole and the giant inflatable T-Rex.

 Playing outside.

Eating pizza.

Dino tattoos!  If one is good, then three is better!

Playing the ice age game.   The dino's were frozen so they had to free them.

The kiddos!  Cohen, Preston, Chloe, Ellie, Tucker, Owen and Cole.

I made an ice cream cake and it was so easy and so yummy!

Singing!

Blowing out the candles with help from Cohen.

Everyone seemed to have a great time and I think this was easier than a big party?!?!  ;-)

Happy 6th Birthday, Cole!  We love you SO much!

Waterpark fun!

Cole and I had a breakfast date Monday morning while Crosby was at school.  I love getting one on one time with him!

We have had blackberries and blueberries galore from our garden! I feel bad that Jonathan is not here to enjoy them, but we are enjoying them for him!  I made blueberry scones and I am going to make a blackberry cobbler today.  I also froze some of them so Jonathan can enjoy them in a smoothie or cobbler when he gets home.

I used to make blueberry scones all the time, but I haven't made them in forever.  These were so good!

Yesterday I ventured out to Fayette (about 45 minutes away) with the boys and Chloe to hit up their little watermark.

Crosby had so much!  He loves the water as much as his big brother.

Eating pizza for lunch!

Yum!

Poor guy fell asleep on me while we were there.  This never happens so I had to document it. :-)

The kids were hungry when we left so we ran by McDonald's.  I got an ice cream cone for Crosby and I to share, but he pretty much kept it for himself.

Then proceeded to bite the side of the cone.  You can imagine the mess! :-)

We are enjoying our summer and counting down the days until daddy is home!
