Christmas Fun

We have had a fun and busy Christmas season! I have been in full swing training mode for real estate and have realized I have SO much to learn, but am loving being back around adults and learning about real estate. I'm praying 2012 is a great year for the housing market!

Lots of pictures to come...

A quick picture before we headed out to Jonathan's squadron Christmas party. It was a fun time and we had lots of laughs!

We are thankful to Jonathan's parents for coming and staying with Cole while we went to the party. Cole loved snuggling with his Mawmaw.

I snapped a quick picture of Cole in his classroom. This was the day of their "Happy Birthday Jesus" Christmas party. Cole is really enjoying school here and his teacher Mrs. Kay. It is a great program and I am pleased as well.

We headed to Mobile last weekend to see Aunt Misty graduate from nursing school. Luckily Cole slept through graduation!

But he woke up towards the end and took a few pictures. He was looking so cute!

Cole and Aunt Misty. We are so proud of her!

I love this family!
Friday night we went to the Bellingrath House and Gardens and saw all the lights. It was beautiful!

We all had fun! :-)

December has been a great month! We have seen our family every weekend which is awesome! We are looking forward to celebrating CHRIST this weekend and hope you are too!

Have a blessed Christmas!

Moving, Thanksgiving and Breakfast with Santa

Whew! What a crazy few weeks we have had! We survived the 13 hour car ride and made it to Mississippi safe and sound. We got all of our stuff delivered and are pretty much all unpacked and settled. What a great feeling to be in our new home that we have anticipated for months! I will try and get pics up soon of the inside of the house.

We were able to go home for Thanksgiving for the first time since we have been married (almost 9 years!) so that was a nice treat. It feels strange being this close, but in a good way.
Here are some pictures from our Thanksgiving.
Cole and Aunt Misty. They got lots of good playtime in!

We stayed the night with my dad on Friday. Love these men! :-)

I tried to get a good picture of the three of us, but it wasn't happening.

This morning we went to the base for Breakfast with Santa. This is our 3rd year to do this and we always enjoy it. Cole has been really into to giving me "mad" faces lately so that is what I got.
Sitting with Santa.
Not the best picture, but at least we are all in it. Plus, I was able to tell Santa what I wanted for Christmas. I have been extra good this year! :-)
Cole's facepaint.
After we left the breakfast we headed to Tuscaloosa for the day. We met Jonathan's parents at Target and they took Cole to the park to play and then back to their house. Jonathan and I got to shop and have lunch together. It was so nice to have some time just the two of us while Cole was having fun with his grandparents. I think we will like this being closer thing! :-)

Our last few days in SA

The last few nights we have been pulling out the couch bed to relax in the evening. It is much more comfortable than sitting on the couch and all three of us can stretch out. I wish we would have started doing this sooner...like in July when we got here!

Thursday Rosario (my Bible study leader and lady that invited me to PWOC) had our group over for a fellowship brunch. It was great time of just hanging out and spending time together. She is an AMAZING woman of God and I have been so inspired by her. I will miss her and all of the PWOC ladies so much!

Thursday night we went to dinner with our old TLF neighbors Noel, Ann and Tandy (who have become great friends to us during our time here) at Texas Roadhouse.

Cole loved eating the peanuts and I loved that I didn't have to clean up the mess! :-)

Cole and Thandiwe. She is the sweetest little girl!

Cole and his dad playing Superman football. His bicycle helmet was a substitute for his football helmet that is in storage.

So cute!

Friday morning we had pictures made by the T-38. I'm hoping the photographer got some good ones and I can use them for our Christmas card. We haven't had jet photos take in years!

Friday afternoon we made our last trip to the SA Zoo. We bought a membership when we got here and we have more than gotten our money's worth out of it!

Cole wanted to wear his rain boots and panther mask to the zoo...I didn't object! :-)

Sitting on the hippo.

Cole's first ever picture he has taken that actually turned out. He did pretty good!

And this morning he worked on writing his letters and numbers. I was pretty impressed by his work...I think it's good for a 3 year old! Oh, and he took this picture too! :-)

Cole and I head out to Mississippi in the morning. The car is all packed up and ready to go! Jonathan should have his check ride on Thursday and then head out on Friday. I am praying everything goes smoothly on his end and our end!

We have had a great time the last 4 months here in San Antonio. We have been blessed by some great people and have nothing but wonderful memories to take with us!

Weekend

We have had another fun weekend! Friday I snapped a few pics of Cole before we headed out for the day. I played around with the colors using the software on our Mac.

Friday night we went to Bigz Burger Joint that was recommended to us as a family friendly place to eat. They have lots of seating outside and a huge turf "field" where the kids can run and play. Everyone brings their owns balls and has a good time. Such a great business idea, especially in Texas where the weather is pretty nice all year round.

And the burger was delicious too!

Saturday we went to a German festival in New Braunfels called Wurstfest. We had fun, but there was a bit too many people there for my liking. The older I get, the less I like big crowds!

Heading in.

We bought Cole a wristband so he could ride the rides as many times as he wanted.

And we got some German food! A pig in a blanket for Cole and I.

And bratwurst, kraut and beans for Jonathan.

After we left there we headed home to watch the big game. It was a disappointing loss for our team, but life goes on!

One more week and Cole and I are outta here...with Jonathan to follow a few days later! Woo hoo! :-)

Trick or Treat

For Halloween we started out at our church's Fall Family Festival. This is a huge event they have every year so we got there early in attempt to beat the crowds.

Cole and Tandy before we headed to the church.

They had tons of games, as well as food, bounce houses, pony rides, petting zoo and train rides.

After we left the church we went back to the base and met up with some friends to trick or treat with. This was our first time trick or treating on base and it was crazy! There were tons of people, but it was alot of fun. Cole got way too much candy, but surprisingly he really hasn't asked for much of it. Now if I can just stay out of it! :-)
