Christmas Day

We had a good Christmas Day!  Cole woke up to find a letter from Santa and Pete (his elf) as well as lots of new goodies.

Crosby wasn't quite sure what to think about it all.

He got a cool treehouse toy that he has been loving.

And this cute Fisher Price laugh and learn dog.  He sings and talk and overall is just really cute.  Crosby loves Roxy so I thought this dog would be perfect for him.  :-)

The best daddy ever!

Trying out his new chair from the Land of Nod.  He got the small anywhere chair from Pottery Barn when he was a year and a half old.  He has sat in it pretty much everyday since then. Needless to say, it was time to upgrade.

Sweet brothers.

We headed to Jonathan's parents around lunch time Christmas day and spent the rest of the week with them.

The men in my life.  I am a blessed lady!

Cole helping Mawmaw hand out presents.

Josh!

And Misty!

Crosby was checking it all out.

And apparently Roxy had had enough so she just took a nap. :-)

Jamie.

And Francis being silly!

The BEST gift I received in 2013.

This year has been good to us.  We grew our family, we have all been healthy and overall we are just very blessed.  I try and not let a day go by that I don't give thanks and glory to God for His grace, mercy and provision in our lives.

More Christmas Fun

My sweet little gingerbread boys.

Oh the trouble these two will get in together one day. :-)

The weekend before Christmas we took Cole to see Walking with the Dinosaurs.  It was a great movie.

Waiting for the movie to start.

Christmas gathering at Jonathan's uncles house the weekend before Christmas.

Cole and Chloe exchanging Christmas gifts.

My family came over and spent the day with us Christmas Eve.  These cousins had fun together.

Crosby enjoyed playing in a box and stealing licks of his brother's giant lollipop.

Cole and his cousin, Jace.

Courtney and I.

My dad.

Cousins.

My stepdad with his two youngest grandsons.

Poor Roxy.  She is a patient dog.

Mother and son. Still can't quite comprehend that my little sister is a mom.

Present opening madness.

All these toys and Crosby is eating paper.

We had a great Christmas Eve and are thankful my family was able to come and visit.

9 months

Crosby is 9 months old today and I must say...I can hardly believe it!  What a fast 9 months this has been!

He weighs 21 lbs, 10 oz. and is 29 inches long.  He can say mama and dada.  He waves hi and bye and just today started shaking his head back and forth like he is saying no.  If you do it, then he will copy you.  It's pretty cute.

He still nurses about 5 or 6 times during the day and usually 2 times at night.  He is not a good sleeper, but we are making it. :-)  He likes to eat baby food and will eat pretty much any table food you put in front of him...even if he doesn't have teeth.  Here he is enjoying pancakes one recent Saturday morning.

He is learning to drink out of a sippy cup.

And he loves playing with big brother's toys.

Poor baby had his first trip to the ER last Saturday.  He woke up with a fever and croupy cough so we took him in.  Good thing we did because it turns out he had strep (which he caught from Jonathan).  They put him on an antibiotic and then he woke up Monday morning wheezing so I took him to his pediatrician. She diagnosed him with a bronchial infection, did a breathing treatment in the office and then sent us home with our very own seal shaped breathing machine.  Doing breathing treatments on a wiggly 9 month old has been a blast.  Luckily he is on the mend.

He learned to crawl and pull up about 2 weeks ago so it has been "game on" ever since!  He is an explorer just like his brother was!

Wearing his Christmas outfit that I made him in my sewing class back in September.

Crawling!

We love you Crosby!

Christmas Fun

Cole built a gingerbread train with the supervision of Crosby. :-)

Cole's elf Pete brought him an elf cookie.  Cole thought that was pretty neat.

Sweet Crosby.

Smiley (most of the time!) baby boy.

We went to the OG kid's Christmas party last Sunday.

And Chloe went with us too (no surprise there as she and Cole are two peas in a pod).

Crosby wasn't afraid of Santa.  He just wanted to pull his beard.

Cole helped me make peppermint bark for our wive's coffee. His favorite part was smashing the candy canes with a hammer. :-)  My favorite part was eating it.

We have had a good Christmas season so far and are enjoying spending it this year with not just one son, but two. :-) God is good!
