It has been nice and hot and humid here in Missouri the last few days. I took Cole to the park and after about 15 minutes he looked like this:
After the park we headed to Walgreens to pick up a few things. An older lady in line in front of us kept saying how "sunburned" he was. I politely told her I had just applied sunscreen on him, but rather he was just really hot from our 15 minutes at the park. It is definitely better for us to hit the park early in the morning like we did today. It was shaded and not nearly as hot. Just about everyday Cole cries to go to the park. So, everyday this week we have been to the park. :-) Gotta give the boy what he wants... when it comes to park going anyway. :-)
I think the park is great. When Grandpa Garner was a kid, Eastwood Park was right across the street. Summer days were fun,with all the kids in the neighborhood. At summers end all of us were toasty brown and ready for school. love papa
