Thankful

At Bible Study yesterday the childcare workers asked the kids what they are thankful for and then they wrote it down. As you can see below Cole is thankful for tigers. :-) Kaden (Cole's friend and neighbor) is also in Cole's class during Bible Study and he was thankful for milk. Dani and I were cracked up at their responses. I am sure what Cole meant to say is that he is thankful for his mother who works tirelessly to make sure he is well taken care of. ;-)

Cole helped me with some baking yesterday. His favorite part (and mine!) is licking the beater.

The smile says it all. That chocolate cake batter is good!!

Cole and I are two weeks down with many more to go, but we are hanging in there and pretty much enjoying each other's company. He always keeps things interesting so that is a good thing...I think. :-)

Professional Pictures

We had family pictures and Cole's two year pictures made by a local photographer before Jonathan left. We wanted them taken outdoors and with the beautiful fall colors it turned out to be a great time of year for that.

Unfortunately, I only bought the copyright to two images so those are the only two I can show on here. I did order prints of all the other ones she took so I have displayed throughout the house.

If you are family and reading this, expect a 5x7 of each of these as part of your Christmas gift. Sorry to spoil it for you! :-)

Cole was so cute in this pose. We didn't tell him to put his hands like that, he just did it on his own. Part of the reason we liked this picture so much!

What happens when you get up at 5:30 a.m....

Poor Cole...the time change has gotten the better of him (and me for that matter)!

We had playgroup across the street this morning. When we got home I had to put clean sheets on his bed so he could nap. Well, he was so tired that when I walked into the living room to get him for nap he had already fallen asleep!

Let's hope he adjusts sooner rather than later to the time change!

He loves to wear hats when it is cold. He even put this one on all by himself.

After his haircut. He has been used to daddy cutting it for him so it was a little change for him to have to go somewhere. He did so good he got a sucker. :-)

This morning before church. Not sure why he is playing with the vacuum cleaner attachment, but he is. One thing about Cole is it is NEVER boring with him around. :-) He is always keeping me on my toes!

Brrr...

It has been really the chilly the last couple of mornings so we have really had to bundle up when we head out. Here is Cole on Thursday morning before school showing me the book he is taking for Show and Tell. It is Five Little Monkeys and we have read it many, many times (all in the same day). It is one of his current favorites.

Being silly! He is a wild monkey that likes to jump. :-)

Cole and I are looking forward to a laid back weekend just hanging out with one another. I'm so thankful to spend my time with this handsome lil' fella.

And here is what my face looked like last night. Mom took me to the doctor today and they put me on an antibiotic and ointment for my chin. It looks better already! Luckily, I am not contagious and can go back to school tomorrow. Yay!

Trick or Treat

We rounded out our Halloween weekend with some good ole' traditional trick or treating. We started out the evening at Chauna's house where several of the neighbors got together for pizza. After that it was costume time and we headed out.

He has become quite affectionate for picture taking. :-)

One of our neighbors rented a cotton candy machine. How cool is that? Did I mention I LOVE cotton candy, but Cole ate all of this and I got none? I almost went back for my own. :-)

Cole at the end of the night. Look closely and you can see his sticky, candy covered face. He woke up this morning with a rash all over his chin... can't imagine why.

We had a fun Halloween, but one thing was sure missing...Daddy!
