Christmas Fun

Cole built a gingerbread train with the supervision of Crosby. :-)

Cole's elf Pete brought him an elf cookie.  Cole thought that was pretty neat.

Sweet Crosby.

Smiley (most of the time!) baby boy.

We went to the OG kid's Christmas party last Sunday.

And Chloe went with us too (no surprise there as she and Cole are two peas in a pod).

Crosby wasn't afraid of Santa.  He just wanted to pull his beard.

Cole helped me make peppermint bark for our wive's coffee. His favorite part was smashing the candy canes with a hammer. :-)  My favorite part was eating it.

We have had a good Christmas season so far and are enjoying spending it this year with not just one son, but two. :-) God is good!

Thanksgiving 2013

We had a good Thanksgiving spent at Jonathan's parents house.  My sister and her kids came over too and we had a fun day spending time with them.

Crosby's first Thanksgiving.  Love this little turkey!

Crosby and Aunt Stephanie.

The cousins.  Jayden couldn't be serious for a picture. :-)

Crosby and his cousin Hudson (this is Jonathan's cousins son so I'm really not sure what that makes him to Crosby!).

We have so much to be thankful for and I pray that God gets all the glory for all the blessings He has given us!

Mountains

We made a trip to Gatlinburg week before last and had a great time!  We went with our friends/neighbors so that made it even more fun!  Cole and Chloe are BFF so he was in hog heaven vacationing with her. We stayed at a place with an indoor waterpark right next door so that was alot of fun.

When we arrived on Wednesday we took off to the waterpark for some fun.

We drove through Cade's Cove looking for bears, but all we saw was horses.

Crosby was a big fan of Cade's Cove. :-)

We ate lunch at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.

And took the ski lift up to ride the Alpine slide.

Getting ready to ride the slide.  It was alot of fun, but we made the mistake of letting Chloe go first so she slowed things down a bit. :-)

Sampling the moonshine.

Watching big brother climb the rock wall.

We went to the aquarium too and it was alot of fun.  Cole with the shark above his head.

The penguins were mine and Crosby's favorite part.

And some pictures from our drive through Cade's Cove.  It was beautiful.

Poor Jonathan got sick towards the end of our trip so that was a bummer.  Driving home he had chills so he was all bundled up in a hat, gloves and two jackets.  Meanwhile I was sweating. :-)  Turns out he had strep throat so he got an antibiotic when we got home.

All in all it was a really great trip.  Neither of us had been to Gatlinburg in over 15 years so we were due for a trip.  I did decide that traveling with a baby who doesn't sleep through the night is a challenge though.  I think the next trip we take is going to be just he and I.   A belated 10 year anniversary trip, maybe?  ;-)

8 months

This squishy little boy is now 8 months old!  He is mostly happy and smiles at anybody that talks to him.  :-)  He has a LOUD squeal that he does (just like his brother did) and loves make frequent use of this new sound.

He started saying dada these past few weeks and it is cute as can be. Now to learn to say mama.

He still likes to get up a couple of times at night to nurse.  He is completely different than Cole about his nighttime sleep, but we are coping. :-)  I've learned NOT to solicit the advice of Facebook when it comes to all things kid/parenting related.  I don't want or need the advice of others who don't know my baby, especially when it comes to the sleep department. :-)

He still has no teeth but is constantly biting in his bottom lip so I suspect teeth may be coming soon?  I've been thinking that for a while now so who knows.

We love this precious boy so much and he is the perfect addition to our family!

Soccer end of year

Cole finished up soccer last night and we were able to get some pics of the kids and the team.

Getting Cole to take a real picture is almost impossible these days.

Silly!

Thumbs up for a fun season!

 The team.

Bryan, Matthew, Thomas, Ethan, Paxton, Cole and Aaron.

The team with their coach...Jonathan! :-)  Yes, Jonathan got suckered into coaching, but he did an awesome job!  He is great with the kiddos and they loved him!

Crazy faces!
 With their medals.

They had a great season and it was fun to see how much Cole had grown and developed since last season.  Looking forward to next year!

Halloween

Our Halloween was a wet one which meant no trick or treating. Cole did get to wear a costume to school and trick or treat there which was fun for him.  He chose to wear Tiny from Dinosaur Train to school.

We had some friends over for dinner so I made soup and this yummy dessert which I referred to as Halloween crack.  It is so addicting and so good! :-)

Since the weather was bad the base moved their trick or treating to Saturday night.  We took Chloe with us and the kids racked up the candy.

A power ranger and a vampire.

I didn't buy Crosby a costume but he had this cute bear outfit so it worked out well. :-)

I think this is the first time in my life where Halloween was cancelled but there's a first time for everything!
