Jonathan's Fini Flight

Jonathan had his fini (final) flight here at Whiteman AFB in the A-10 on Friday. It was bittersweet for me (and him too I'm sure) to watch him climb out of the A-10 for the last time. He loves that plane and I pray that it is in God's plan for us that he will one day get to fly it again. We were so blessed to have his parents here for it as well as our wonderful neighbors and friends, Karla, Bryce and Kaitlyn.

M.B. and Francis before heading to the base.

And my little guy and me.

Karla and Kaitlyn (and Bryce's head) before heading to the flight line.

Cole was so excited to see his daddy and hose him down!

Cole and Kaitlyn waiting...ear protection and all! :-)

Here he comes! Boy do I love a man in uniform...particularly this man! :-)

The firetruck was out there and one of his co-workers hosed him down!

And then he got sprayed with champagne...

And more water by the kids. They had a blast with this!

Sweet kids!

The 4-ship that flew for his final flight...plus Cole of course!

Jonathan and his wonderful parents

Us!
We had a great time! The weather was perfect...sunny and not too hot! It made even more special having family there to commemorate this time of our life with us. Now to get through next week and all the goodbyes...

Great photos. Loved to watch Cole interact with his Dad!
